Ovo zahteva korišćenje mešavine direktnog i indirektnog osvetljenja.

How to have the perfect lighting in the apartment

Light, both natural and artificial, is actually one of the most important factors in shaping a space. Good lighting is responsible for your home to exude space, warmth, and a feeling of being welcome.

Lighting in the house has an aesthetic and functional role and contributes to a better appearance of the household. So how do you organize your lighting in the best way?

Bedroom

The bedroom should have lighting that will create an extremely relaxed atmosphere, and at the same time allow you to read or perform other activities in certain parts of the room.

Basic lighting can be realized with the help of suspended ceiling lamps, chandeliers, ceiling lamps, or wall lamps, although it is better to have a pair of diffuse wall lamps and a table lamp on the nightstand.

Dining room

In the dining room, it is important to light the table well with a light fixture that directly emits light. It must be effective but above all functional. This requires the use of a mixture of direct and indirect lighting. A chandelier should dominate the dining table, which will serve both as a decorative element and as the main source of lighting for dining. Indirect lighting can emphasize images, valuable service, or silverware. On more festive occasions, reduce the amount of lighting to get the impression of a „candlelight dinner“.

Kitchen

The kitchen is, above all, a workspace that requires functional lighting of work surfaces. It is desirable that the worktop, stove, and sink be well lit with directional light down. If you have hanging elements above the work surfaces, you can mount lamps on their bottom that will provide you with enough light to work. Choose economical light sources such as neon tubes or LED strips.

Bathroom

Bathrooms require halogen lighting that gives intense white light. In the bathroom, you need a strong and uniform light without shadows, so that you can shave, put on make-up or do your hair. In smaller bathrooms, the lights above the mirrors will be enough to illuminate the entire room, while in larger ones, ceiling lamps will also be needed. It is desirable to use two types of lighting: direct, stronger intensity needed for makeup, shaving, and the like, and another slightly weaker when using showers, sinks, or toilets.

Living room

Living room lighting must satisfy a wide range of different activities. Massive chandeliers and pendants are suitable for high ceilings, but not for suspended ones. The chandelier is not obligatory in the living room, but it is also not superfluous. It can be successfully replaced or supplemented by a pair of wall lamps, placed so that they emphasize certain details. Lamps are the basis of space aesthetics.

Images and posters are illuminated by low-voltage lamps with halogen-tungsten bulbs. The computer and TV require low-intensity light that will not reflect glare and will not interfere with viewing the image on it. If the living room is narrower, the effect of width can be achieved by strategic lighting of the walls. This means that with strong ceiling lighting, you should have additional light sources that come from the walls, tables, and floor.

So, you can also be creative with lighting, so – let your imagination run wild!
